Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello Planners,

is it possible to convert Activity Code into WBS entries? I have tried to write a Global Change saying "WBS = ", but the value can only be one of my WBS nodes.

Thank you,

Alexandre

I have used the sdk excel workshet with version 6.2 and it works fne. In the spreadsheet the first column must be the wbs number in its entirety, The second column is its parent number or one number less than the number in the first colum. The third column is the last number in the first column. The fourth column is the description of the WBS. I have added over 600 wbs elements using the spreadsheet and it worked fine.

Does SDK still work, we thought the service was stopped after version 8. On the query, one of the option would be to group by codes, create WBS as required. Display WBS column and use fill function.

You can group your codes the way that you want them then summarize your activities and roll them up. You can use this information to create your wbs structure.

You can copy this info to excel then use the wbs excel using sdk to create your wbs structure.

Or you can print the summary and manually enter it in the wbs structure.

or you can use this method with the exel file parser

Suggests to use the Import / Export Excel through SDK.
