Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered before.

I'm trying to show a task bar "necked" where there is no working time. In this case, I have a number of tasks that have a calendar that only allows work to take place between April and October, so I want to show the "non-working" period (i.e. November to March) on those tasks that cut across this period in a different format to emphasise the non-working time (hope that's clear!!).

I recall being able to do this with P3, but nothing springs to mind for MSP.

What I can't do is show the calendar in front of tasks, as this will cover all of the task bars, not just those allocated against the specific calendar.

Many thanks.

Hi Evgeny,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it is not the non-working calendar dates I want to show, as this would effectively "block out" the non-working time of all tasks rather than just those with a certain calendar.

Regards,

Tony

Tony,

I only know a way how to show non-working time of a specific calendar. But it will show it for entire Gantt chart in a background. So this approach would not work if you want to show different tasks with different calendars.

You need to right click on the Gantt Chart and then go to Nonworking time.
