Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All
I am facing a small problem in taking print on MS Project.

It gives following massege:

You cannot print or preview because the print area of the page is too small.
Try one of the following;
• Decrease the page margin
• Decrease the scaling percentage. On the file menu, click page setup, and then click the page tab. Under scaling, decrease the number in the % Normal Size box.

I know all this & tried everything. But not able to solve this.

Has anyone faced this problem ????

Can u give me the solution.

Arun

Install a printer driver for a large format printer if you don’t already have one, say HP1050C.
You don’t need the actual printer, just the driver.
Or print to PDF.
Then you can print to ISO A0 sheet which is big enough for anything.
Then you will see how many columns you are trying to print.
Also, in the Gantt Chart View zoom out.

First, make sure you have selected the correct printer if you have various printers to choose from.
Use File, Print then select the printer then click on preview.
Try using File, Page Setup before you try to File, Print Preview. That’s where you can fix it.
Check the View tab and make sure you have not told MSP to print too many columns.
Reduce the margins to small but not too small (1 cm).
Then Print Preview.
etc etc I think you know the rest.
