Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

As I have emailed out over 50 copies of my planning procedure against email forum requests wouldn’t it be better to have a file download facility in PP.
We could even populate a Planning Standards Section with best practice docs.

Hi Admin
Sometime we need to attach a screenshot of query or solution.
"Attach file" function is really necessary

Thanks

Hi PP Admin,

I support the suggestion to allow attachments to posts. I have a couple of issues I’d like to post for comment but they involve screen shots highlighting issues that are not easily put in words.

Also I’d like to suggest a "Tips & Tricks" page where tips can be posted/stored as PDFs and described by a brief paragraphs under relevant software packages.

Keep up the good work...

Hi Chris,

I already knew 2 free storage websites, we can make a "shared" account in anyone of them (means that everyone will have the login information).
Once we create the account, anybody can login there and upload his/her files.
The 2 websites are:
http://www.box.net/
http://www.4shared.com/

Regards,
Karim

Hi Karim,

That’s a pretty good idea. I’ve no doubt that PP Admin could provide a link to such a website once it was identified and members had loaded material to it.

Hi all,

Will it be good idea (as a temp. solution) to start sharing the files which are been asked by PP’ers in many posts in a free online storage website?

Hello PP Admin,

We need to attach files with the posts.
OR
To have a section in which users can share their files (same as in Files section at any Yahoo! group).

Karim

Hi,

If you guys can think about what you need, and how we could show it we will get it implemented.

Yes, there should be a download centre in PP forum.

I think Admin will give due consderation to this but it will take time.
