Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello,

We have just about complete the new scripts to show the production rates along with their applicable COUNTRIES - these rates having been sent in by our members.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we structure the data - ie in some form of WBS type structure?

There are many ways of organising the data, but does anyone have any ideas, please drop us a reply.

Regards

Tomas,

In addition to the great service this site does by providing productivity rates, also there are two estimating software which give descent databases for cost and rates information. Chief Estimator and Win Estimator. Both based on the CSI Masterformat in addition to other popular classificatins.

No, I am not a member. They do not give any rate or cost information as far as I know. Their primary function is to give a structure, standards and guides for their industry.

MasterFormat seems to be their elite product, and it is just a standard for organizing and structuring information. And it has been used for a long time.

My best recommendation to organize cost or rates, or for that matter just about any kind of information in the AEC Architecture/Engineering/Construction) industry, is to use MasterFormat by the Construction Specifications Institute. This is probably the most widely used standard in this industry.
