Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all, Working for a Contractor on a project using IChemE Burgundy contract, having worked mostly on projects using NEC Contracts..... There doesn’t appear to be any specific information within the Contract as to the correct process of preparing a impact quotation for EOT Adjustment (i.e. NEC clauses (/ guidance notes) state using the Approved Programme, and impact against remaining works (having added progress achieved, up to the Event) etc. etc.). In reading the contract and searching online, I haven't been able to find out, in the eyes of the Contract, what is deemed the correct process under IChemE. The Contract (/ guidance notes) seem to be mute on any such process for preparing EOT Adjustments (or their Baselines). Is preparing a Baseline as I would under NEC deemed the correct approach under IChemE? Or do you simply impact the Approved Programme, without looking at the remaining works at the time of the event? Are there any principles that are different from those under NEC in terms of the process of preparing the baseline and impacting on it? Are there any examples of IChemE Guidance (I haven’t been able to find anything so far) or Case Law that demonstrates one way or another that you could point me in the direction of please? Thanks in advance. Chris
