Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi both,

Just to confirm, the supported Microsoft Project formats in Asta Powerproject are XML and MPP.  MPX was dropped by MS Project in verison 2000 I beleive so we have also now dropped support.

To obtain support for openning and saving to MPP, you will also need MS Project installed on the same machine as Asta Powerproject.

Cheers,

Ben @ Asta Powerproject

Hi Lo

To open MSP in powerproject save the file in MPX format.

For P6 just open the P6 file directly from PowerProject software.

To save the files just Save AS in the required format.

You will lose a lot of the advanced Asta features - in version 13 of Asta you can make it look just like P6 anyway.

Best regards
