Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

Was after peoples thoughts on the best way to publish a programme (in Asta), without having to create a pdf (the people wanting to view it don't have Asta) for each view, each time there is a change.

Chris.

Thanks Ben.

I've gone with the Asta Viewer, but it's a shame the viewer users can't select information from the spreadsheet (e.g. to select, copy & paste into excel).

Hi Chris,

Can you persuade them to use our free Project Viewer?  That would allow them to navigate through the views in the project that you have set up.

Or if they already have 'another' product, you could chose to save your Asta programme in the relevant file type.

Saving to HMTL might also be another option; it can give you a version of the programme that can be read within any browser.  You can set it up so that different projects are navigated via the browser.  But I don't think you can save multiple views into one HTML file.

If the Gantt view isn't important to them, the alternative could be to simply dump into Excel.  You could set up your Tabular Reports to mirror the column data that you have in your various views.  Once you've set up Tabular Reports once, you won't have to manually copy/paste into Excel each time there is a change.

Cheers,

Ben @ Asta
