(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

demo not working

I just downloaded the demo, installed it and tried to crate my first filter, but could not even see the new filter screen, as soon as I click on new filter a dialog box displays an error. Any idea of why this error?

I want to filter activities or tasks that are out-of-sequence and also filter for lag not equal 0. I use SureTrak and can filter by lag, while P3 cannot do it. SureTrak nor P3 can filter out-of-sequence activities although both generate a report that lists those activities that are out-of-sequence. Can Powerproject do that filter?

i also use demo version 10 only.

Was an issue with two DLL files.

One was deleted and replaced when re-installed MS Project the other was cleared by right clicking the DLL, properties and selecting an option for DLL from other computer?

Well it solved the problem. Don’t ask me, Hammer Rule, if it don’t fits hit it with a Hammer until it fits!

Sorry but PowerProject will not filter on Lead lag links.

Maybe on V 11 but I have not seen it on any development wish list.

I tried both advanced and beginner, even minimum install and full install.

I believe the problem is with some missing or outdated system files, some DLL’s, or perhaps the solution is using something like a pre-requisite pack some software do use like Bentley/ASA rebar, a software used by re-bar suppliers.

Let see what they come with, is just that I am somewhat eager to try the software. I cannot ask for more if not under their support agreement, which by the way is reasonable.

Did not work, downloaded a non-English language patch and did not recognize it.

I am using version 10 demo, after you pay for it you can activate it, don’t know if limited under evaluation.

I e-mail asta the issue; let’s see if they come out with an answer.

The error shows a division by 0 errors and mentions a couple of DLL files followed by a question mark.

I never had installation issues with P3 nor with SureTrak, nor with Spider Project demo. The only two programs I ever had with installation issues are P6 at another contractor’s office and now Powerproject at my own PC. I am starting to believe it is as much of rubbish as P6.
