1          Exploration And Production of Kumang Cluster Gas Fields Development Projects (Project Value RM6.8 billion)

 

Project Brief

Development of Kumang Gas fields to provide security of supply to MLNG by developing an estimated gas resource of 1,575 (FWS) BScf @ 500mmscf, where 1st gas expected in Q4, 2010. The project also develops condensate resource of 37 Mstb. An 8-legged CPP at Kanowit (KAKG-A) with full-fledged facilities, i.e. production separation facilities, compression trains, power generation, and living quarters, bridge-link to a flare tripod (KAV-A). Two 4-legged wellhead platforms at Kumang (KUJT-A) and F9 (F9JT-A), with minimum facilities designed for TAD rig drilling, with provision for jack-up rig. Subsea wellheads at Kanowit (KASS-A&B), will be drilled by semi-submersible rig. Evacuation from KAKG-A to MLNG via a 180km pipeline. The inter-field pipeline from KASS-A to KAKG-A is 5 km, F9JT-A to KAKG-A (57 km), KUJT-A to KAKG-A (21 km). To drill 11 dev. wells (2 wells at KASS-A, 4 wells at F9JT-A, and 5 wells KUJT-A).

 

2          Exploration And Production Of Tangga Barat Cluster Gas Fields Development Projects. (Project Value RM6.5 billion)

Project Brief:

Development of gas fields Melor, Laho and Tangga Barat for gas supply to Peninsular Malaysia Gas Utilization System. The project is expected to deliver the first gas from Melor, Laho and Tangga Barat by Q2, 2011. To drilling of 23 development wells, Tangga Barat Central Processing Platform (TBCP-A) comprising of separation, CO2 Removal and Compression System. Development consist of three (3) wellhead platforms (MLDP-A, LHDP-A and TBDR-A), one (1) CPP (TBCP-A) and one (1) flare platform (TBFP-A) and evacuating gas to PGU via Resak Complex. Rig Type: Tender assisted rig and/or Jack-up.

 

Basic Scope of Work & Functions

Responsible in preparation of comprehensive and structured Field Development Plan to the Project Task Force / Project Manager, including timely definition; project cost control and monitoring; schedule/milestone forecasting; risk assessment and mitigation; invoice validation; budget phasing; claims analysis, input to technical bid evaluation, assessment and audit of Contractors..

 

Familiar and understand of GSA & PSC’s Contract Agreement for Overall Project Planning, RT / MOD Budget planning, Sunk Cost and CAPEX capitalization purposes,  Highly involved in Project Field Development Plan throughout all the phases, schedule development, sequencing, cost control, Schedule and Cost Variance analysis, Earned Value and Schedule & Cost Performance Index analysis. Familiar with PETRONAS Project Management System approval processes for subsurface and G&G activities ie: TRC, FDPRC, FDRC, DRC, FFR, FID/FIRC for FDP’s Milestone Review, MR#1 (Project’s overview / executive summary & Project Schedule), MR#2 (Static Modeling), MR#3 (Dynamic Modeling), MR#4 (Project Economic and Facilities) to MR#5 (Petronas FDPRC approval). Monitor and updates all its sub-phases activities ie: exploration/data acquisition, Seismic Interpretation/Sections for Static Modeling, Structure/Facies/ Property Modeling, Reservoir Categorization and Total Volume Calculation from Core Analysis,. Involved and monitor Dynamic Modeling and it activities ie: PVT fluid analysis for subsurface data, reservoir assessment, hydrocarbon production profile and its recovery factors, drilling target location, final trajectories & design. Understand facilities’ concept definition and selection, detail engineering and project economic run analysis requirements and other PETRONAS Project Management System for upstream (PPMS’s FEL gates). Highly participate and understand Petronas Carigali and PMU tendering and procurement processes and sittings ie, TC1, TC2, TC3, JTC, CTC, TRC, MC, MOF and Board approval processes for structured and comprehensive pre-award Long Lead Equipment planning.

Highly responsible in development of WBS / OBS/ CBS/ RBS for efficient and effective project control and monitoring purposes, AFE & project charge codes numbering and coding, validation and controls, project manning and movement plans, structured & effective Schedule & Cost Variance analysis (SV & CV), Earned Values (BCWP) and performance Index Calculation (SPI & CPI).

Monitor project cost incurred during project execution by using SAP-FICO, monitor purchase requisition of equipments/materials/services through SAP-MMM. Involved and responsible in execution and planning of overall of periodic Project Risk assessment, Project Lesson Learnt, Project Independent Review, updates and monitor Master Risk Register for risk monitoring and it impacts. Assist project Manager in executing and performing project control functions in project especially during Pre Development, ADP, FDP, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Installation, HUC and Drilling. Basis of Progress Measurement for Tangga Barat project, Cost Control & tracking, Schedule Analysis, QRA assessment, Change Order management, Petronas Project Management System (PPMS), initiate manpower manning for recruitment, assist in Tender Plan preparation and procurement status updates. Monitor and supervise vendors, fabricators progress, communicate with Installation, HUC and drilling team on the project updates and current strategies.

Involved in awarding and monitoring of EIA contracts, Long Lead Equipments, Sub-surface ie: Core Analysis, PVT Analysis, Core Facies Studies, Petrophysical Interpretation, Drilling Borehole Stability and Geo-mechanics and Pre Concept Selection Study.

Weekly procurement status updates, monthly cost tracking updates against budgeted. Earned Value updates and tracking, bi-weekly progress report submission.

Provide input on planning, schedule control, progress measurement, reporting instructions and project invoicing requirements to Tender documents.
