The design-build contract for Doha West is worth USD 180 million and the plant operation contract totals USD 80 million, for a total amount of USD 260 million, awarded by the Public Works Authority in 2006.This is a 135,000 m3/day wastewater facility, the first in the Middle East to use tertiary treatment with ultra filtration membranes. All the treated water will be used for farm irrigation after the commissioning late 2008. For an estimated population of 500,000 inhabitants, this plant’s design includes a primary treatment, activated sludge as a secondary treatment and a tertiary treatment using sand filtration and UF membranes. Responsibility includes preparation planning and scheduling documents including time schedules and its periodical updates, Study impact of alternative approaches to work, identify areas of weakness, and establish recovery plans, monitoring and controlling project progress during construction phase, generate earned value reports, identify delays using critical path analysis, Participate on study, analyze and preparing claims and counter claims.
