Planner/ Scheduler, Turner and Townsend, BP Oil Refinery Turnarounds

Seconded into the BP Bulwer Island Oil Refinery in Brisbane, Australia Turnaround team.

I play a key role in the planning/ scheduling for major Oil refinery shutdown events where the schedule is an important tool in ensuring the huge workscope can be carried out in the time frame allowed. Workfront interfaces, resource requirements and exclusion zones through heavy lifts, unit start-ups etc all form part of the planning process. There are up to 700 men working on the turnaround during execution.
