· Recently started with Autodesk software & Linking the CCS programme to a 3D Revit Model         

Studying tender document (Contract, drawings, specifications, reports etc)

·         Extracting information which might be risk to our business unit, identifying opportunities and defining whether or not the timeframe given is achievable

·         After studying the documents and BOQ, essential trades and quantities are used to start pre-planning, together with using drawings and understanding details and how the building/job is put together

·         Sequencing of work, plant required on site, site office establishment, encroachment on council property, adjacent buildings and their height are some of the factors taken into account before the programme is put together

·         After the pre-planning is complete the actual programming commences, ensuring contract dates are firstly entered, if allowance for rain has to be made, ensuring that the calender months used are correct including holidays and builders breaks.

·         Work is then programmed using the extracted quantities, applying current site output rates to determine durations (This process continues until the programme is complete). Outputs are retrieved from on-site visits and discussions with teams of actual outputs that can be achieved

·         From the programme I draw up a P&G for discussion with either my line manager or director

·         Comprehensive and fully detailed method statements are drawn up including resources/staffing proposed for the work (Including long lead schedules, information required, Line of Balance if required)

·         Before tender is handed in a finalisation meeting is held where I have to explain to all managers/directors what I have done and what the logic behind the decisions were

·         If there are any queries which has an effect on the programme/ methodology, alterations are made

·         Assist site engineers with target programs on our various sites (Projects starting off, as well as projects nearing the end)

·         All programming is done on CCS software and Method statements/ support work on MS Visio and MS Word
