Project Planning Manager, General Electric Company (GE), Lead time reduction of 660 MW Boiler Island platform

August, 2010 The key job responsibilities include:
- Project controlling of assigned projects with overall accountability for project execution in accordance with contract requirements, schedule, project performance goals (including cash flow and P&L performance) and customer acceptance / satisfaction.
- Closely review project DOW with both Onshore and Offshore teams for the respective scope and progressively elaborate WBS for better cost control, risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Develop a well-grounded Master Time Schedule that will guide and drive predictable results-oriented performance in accordance with contract requirements, project goals and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and update Master Time Schedule during execution to achieve Project performance indicators (such as CPI, SPI).
- Preparation of financial progress against physical progress (Cash Flow index).
- Monitoring & controlling of detailed EPC schedule & preparation of S-Curves.
- Monitoring and controlling the work progress to achieve package work completion within allocated time and budget.
- Resource load analysis for current and future projects and cross project analysis of ex-works for capacity planning.
- Assists in preparing work program, cash flow and manpower histogram for tenders.
- Keep management informed on a timely regular basis of on critical activities, project execution status, early identification of risks and opportunities, recommended mitigating actions and grounded assessment of forecasted performance.
- Prepares and submit updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress and identify areas of weakness and establishes means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities.
- Participate in project meetings and discussions with the various stakeholders as and when required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
