Saudi Aramco is a global petroleum enterprise with Exploration, Production, Refining, Distribution operations.
• Review the contractor’s project schedule and make sure it satisfies contract requirements such as scope of work, major milestones, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), manpower loading, progress S-curve, major work sequence, material procurement, etc. and recommend approval to the Division Manager.
• Review the contractor’s Scheduling & Reporting Plan indicating procedures and guidelines on the subject.
• Prepare a summarized Project Completion Schedule (PCS) showing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, & Close-out phases of the project based on the approved contractor’s schedule for the Department Manager’s approval.
• Review contractor’s weekly progress report including look-ahead schedule and analyze the impact on the Baseline schedule. Advise the senior engineers on the schedule variance and recommend a recovery action plan in case of negative variances.
• Coordinate with Cost Engineers in the preparation of Monthly Project Update (MPU) Report condensing Cost & Schedule status of all projects assigned to our Division.
• Participate in the Early Planning of incoming projects and study the contract strategy to be implemented. Create a Baseline schedule using benchmark data from previous similar projects.
• Conduct schedule delay analysis and identify time and cost impacts. This also includes gathering of historical data significant to the delay and then prepare a Project Change Request (PCR) for Management’s approval.
• Conduct in-house training sessions on Planning & Scheduling including Primavera P6 to familiarize the concerned engineers on this aspect.
• Mentor/ guide junior Planners/ Schedulers and supervise their work
