Aspects like maximum POB, number of rigs and their availability, available manhours for the various engineering delivering the front end loading of the activities, number of core crew crafts, budget capex, budget opex, etc. are all considered (simultaneously) when generating the daily schedule. 

Time horizons can vary from the 90-day IAP gate to schedule the next 12 week schedule, to schedule the 8Q activities or as part of the front-loading of the 5-year LTP and source data would typically come from MS Project, Primavera P6 or MS Excel.
