Detailed Functions (ship repair):

·         Coordinate to the in-charge project superintendent/manager to get work specification regarding the project.

·         Planning and scheduling of manpower and the availability of materials needed in the project considering the date of completion.

·         Review approved plans and working drawings if any new fabrication/ conversion/ modification involved.

·         Preparing equipment (welding machines, blower and other related tools & equipments)

·         Assist class surveyor for tank inspections to confirm additional job

·         Daily inspections of work given to workers to check fitting provisions and welding quality prior to the Classification Society Standards.

·         Coordinates to other departments to avoid conflict on work schedule.

·         Detailing / measuring works done in preparation to bill

·         Control cost of project manpower & minimizing materials and consumables wastages

·         Perform / conduct non-destructive testing such as vacuum testing, hose testing, dye penetrant test, hydrostatic test and air testing.

Detailed Functions (shipbuilding):

·         Receives and understand contract specification of approved plans and

       working drawings.

·         Assign loft’s men to lay-out mark the required lines on the mould loft

       floor based on the table of offsets and make necessary templates.

·         Prepare daily schedule for workers and delegates to worksite.

·         Supervise works in accordance with the approved plan.         

·         Identify  and  prepare  list  of  materials  needed  to  be supplied by the    

      yard that are not available to the warehouse.

·         Prepare schedules for erection of fabricated panel or block and arrange to motor pool the necessary equipments such as forklift, trailer & cranes.

·         Prepare schedule of tank testing base on target date of completion and in process inspection of quality control section.                         

·         Holds  regular  meeting  with  foremen  in order to identify

      problems encountered on production & matters affecting the schedule.

·         Prepare schedule for inspection by the class surveyor.

·         Prepare Inspection Testing Record and gets approval authority to sign.   

·         Responsible for controlling cost of project, proper utilization of labor &

      minimizing wastages based on materials issuance against consumed.
