Jubail United Petrochemical Co.is the 17^th affilliate of SABIC group, set up to produce 1350KTA of Ethylene, 1200KTA of Ethylene Glycol, 1300KTA of Linear Alpha Olefins.

§  Assigned to Central Planning Team of the Engineering and Maintenance function. Scope of responsibility is diverse and detailed below.

A. Procedures:

§  Part of the team responsible for preparing Business processes for the Asset Management Function.

B. SAP :

§  Analyze the data obtained from RCM / RBI / IPF exercise and prepare various plans and schedules  related to equipment changeover, preventive maintenance, Shutdown maintenance and condition monitoring of plant equipments.

§  Responsible for the preparation of Preventive maintenance plans of plant equipment in SAP with inputs from RCM / RBI / IPF exercise. This includes

1)       Preparation, validation and uploading of maintenance tasks lists in SAP.

2)       Preparation and grouping of maintenance items in SAP to schedule the preventive maintenance program of an equipment on the same day.

3)       Schedule maintenance plans in SAP to enable auto generation of PM Orders.

4)       Monitor progress on the produced maintenance plans through SAP and suggest requisite changes with action plans.

§  Identified and prepared required planner groups and work centers in SAP.

§  Assigned appropriate cost centers to equipment in SAP.

C. Maintenance / Turnaround Planning :

§  Preparation of Master Job list, organize job challenge sessions and freezing of Master job list.

§  Upon receipt, convert notifications into work orders in SAP.

§  Discuss the request with the issuer and execution supervisor to ensure that the scope and sequence of events is clear.

§  Identify service contracts, spare parts, materials and special tools required and perform the necessary transactions (Requisitions, Services Requests, etc.), in SAP system

§  Estimation of budget, take approval for the estimated budget, create WBS in SAP-PS module and coordination with Finance for allocation of budget.

§  Preparation of shutdown packages in the Planning Desk software (developed in house) for the freezed jobs, plan and arrange for all resources. The package includes

1)       All relevant documents required for the execution of the job like data sheet, marked up P&IDs, blind list, materials, services and execution plan

2)       Identification and necessary arrangement for procurement of materials.

3)       Identification of services required, preparation of scope of work / tender documents, arrange for site visits to potential contractors, technical evaluation of bids and finalizing the contract.

4)       Identification of special tools and procurement of the same

§  Followup with SABIC SMO for procurement of materials and services. Inspection of all materials received in warehouse for turnaround jobs.

§  Organize and participate in Job Safety Analysis for all turnaround jobs with contractors, maintenance, operations, safety departments.

§  Monitoring of budget with actual expenditure and take appropriate steps to control budget over-run.

§  Scheduling of shutdown / turnaround jobs in Primavera Enterprise version.

§  To assist execution team during shutdown and turn-around.

Arabian Petrochemical Company referred to as "PETROKEMYA" is wholly owned by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation "SABIC". It was established in May 1981 at JUBAIL Industrial City to construct and operate petrochemical complex. PETROKEMYA currently consist of 03 Hydrocarbon  plants & 04 Polymer Plants and 01 Utility plant.

§  Review & check created notifications for proper parameters. Visit jobsite whenever required to determine job description accuracy and job requirements. 

§  Generating orders according to notification specification to the maintenance systems. Plans and estimates work orders by determining job requirements, breaking the job down into sequential steps/operations and identifying the materials, special tools and equipment required to do the job. 

§  Coordinates acquisition of resources with Materials, Equipment Services and others. Initiates a Service Order as required. Prepares weekly and daily schedules by reviewing backlog and coordinating work requirements with Operations. 

§  Provide appropriate support and assist in data gathering, preparation of maintenance support overhauling and preventive maintenance plans. Follow up with crafts on job sites.

§  Updates work order status as to whether jobs are workable or unworkable, percent completed, estimated completion date, reasons for delay and other pertinent information.

§  Close the job when completed by (TECO) the work order and remove it from the schedule.

§  Provides feedback on area performance by providing reports and monitoring charts on key indicators.

Saudi Aramco Lubricating Oil Refining Co. ( LUBREF) Jeddah is the joint venture of Exxon Mobil and Saudi Aramco. LUBREF uses Jeddah refinery waste crude oil as raw material to produce different grade Lubricants base oil through fractionate distillation process.  Various process units are VDU ( Vaccume Distillation Unit ), PDA ( Propane De-Asphalting area, FEU ( Furfural Extraction Unit ), MEK ( Methyle Ethyle Keytone area ).

Responsibilities as Turnaround Maintenance Planner.

• Preparation of Turn around scope of work for all equipments, with required man-hours, material & cost estimates for each activity of each equipment.
• Preparation of List of Material / Spares with accurate Purchase order Text for Turnaround.
• Raising MR ( Material Request ) as per the required specifications in MAXIMO / ORACLE.
• Various vendors quotations analysis with techno-commercial justification to finalize bids.
• Preparation of Turnaround plans using Primavera Project Planner P3 or MS Project.
• Proper Reading of Block Flow Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, MFD or P & I Diagram to locate each and every stream and equipment details.

SWCC Al-Khobar plant is a dual purpose power generation and desalination plant consists of

·         18 Multi stage Flash Evaporators for desalting sea water.

·         09 Power generation units with total capacity of  around 1100 MW per day.

·         Eastern Province Water transmission system with several major pumping stations.

·         Plant support utilities comprising of Gas Pressure Reducing Station, Lime plant, H₂ plant, CO₂ plant, CL₂  plant, WTP and Sewage treatment plant etc.    

Nature of Responsibilities as MAINTENANCE PLANNER.              

·         Planning & Scheduling of Preventive maintenance / Corrective maintenance /     Modification / Upgrading or  Retrofitting / Calibration and Overhauling of plant equipments using various Project management Softwares.

·         Reviews and updates engineering drawings and blue prints relating to system modifications done   earlier, and  being carried out.

·         Performs mathematical calculations to calculate productivity of individual maintenance disciplines to ensure optimum utilization of plant resources, analyzing large equipment maintenance history data against chronic defects. 

·         Responsible for review and update Standard Job Instructions and periodicity of equipments PM with the consent  of Maintenance Engineer.

·         To attend weekly meetings of Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager and to prepare Minutes of the meeting.

·         To work towards increasing productivity by lengthening the mean time between failures (MTBF) and shortening the mean time to repair ( MTTR ).
