Profile
I have 13 years’ experience within the construction industry as a labourer, ground worker and my present role as 360 excavator operator. I have worked as an excavator operator for the last 10 years. I have also experience driving backhoe and rubber duck excavators. I have worked on both small and large construction projects ranging in value from £100k right up to £50m. These projects have varied from road upgrade projects, new road and motorway construction, bulk dig excavations and large scale gas and water pipeline works. I have gained a vast amount of experience and in depth knowledge of these projects. My experience has seen me working in many different environments and I feel I have meet each challenge and role with enthusiasm. For this reason I feel would be of benefit to any company undertaking main civil work.
Key Achievements
Presented with a health and safety award from Carey Group Plc (London, UK) in recognition of my efforts in maintaining good work practices on a project in Eastbourne, London UK.
Relevant Experience
Catalpa Resources LTD: Worked on the West Angelas Petroleum Pipeline Project as a Side boom/Dozer operator. The job was a Monadelphous KT Project consisting of 85KM of 12’’Steel Pipeline. (June2013 – Present)
B.L.D Group Pty Ltd: Excavator operator on the BHP Port NPI Phase 1 in Port Headland.I worked on bulk dig excavations and drainage works and final trim. (June2012 – February 2013)
Carey Group Plc: 360 Plant operator on various projects such as the Olympic stadium in London; road upgrade projects, new road and motorway construction, bulk dig excavations and drainage works, in London and all over the UK. (March 2003 – June 2012)
Lagans Construction Ltd: 360 Plant operator on the Dublin to Galway gas pipeline in Ireland. This project consisted of a 335km steel pipeline measuring 750mm in diameter. I also worked on the Newry to Temple Patrick pipeline in the North of Ireland. (November 2000 - January 2003)
GQ Services: worked as a ground worker on hire to Tarmac who were responsible for the Jubilee line extension project in London, this was the biggest project in the UK at the time. (February 1998 - October 2000)
Qualifications and Training
Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) valid licence to drive plant and machinery (UK), Valid AU work safe (White card AU), Valid excavator operator Ticket (AU), Valid Front End Loader Ticket (AU), Valid Worksafe Licence to Perform High Risk Work(CN Ticket i.e Sideboom and Franner), Fully RTIO & BHP inducted, 4x4 Training.
Education I attended Our Lady’s Secondary School Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland and completed my Junior and leaving certificate achieving pass grades in; English, Maths, Irish, Geography, Science, Construction Studies and Technical Drawing.
