As a project controller my key activities and responsibilities are to provide robust, single source, accurate management information using Primavera P6 planning software and SAP to enable the effective delivery of the Capital Programme at a business area, programme, sub-programme and project level as appropriate.  My responsibilities and achievements include:

  • Responsible for the cost engineering, planning, risk and change management facilitation for the distribution mains cleaning programme of work, with an budget circa £25m and the water infrastructure optimisation programme with an budget circa £40m.  .
  • Monthly updating of projects, on the progress to date and forecasting of activities, costs, milestone and outputs via liaison across the delivery teams, including project managers, engineering design managers/team, commercial, operations, construction partners and 3rd parties to source updated information as required.
  • Production and presentation of monthly management information reports detailing cost, milestone and output performance to date against budgets and agreed baselines and the future works for downstream mains cleaning and optimization programmes at programme level verification meetings. 
  • Extensive knowledge and use of business tools including Management Information Dashboard (MIDAS), SAP and Microsoft products to aid reporting and produce ad-hoc reports as required for line manager, project teams and up to director level meetings. 
  • Development of norms data to populate budgets for projects in early stages of development. 
  • Involved in the acceptance testing of timesheet automation between SAP and P6 and subsequent training of new processes to team members. 
  • Weekly tracking of key milestones and reporting to the responsible managers across the network contraction alliance to help keep a focus on the delivery of critical project steps and gateways.
