As Cost Controller I was responsible for development and maintenance of cost control budgets for the construction project. Ensure the estimates and costs to can be reconciled with the schedule.

As Planning / Scheduling Engineer, I was responsible for fabrication, execution and particulars phases planning, as the reviews of them, several studies, drive meeting and change of contract revision and re-orders works. Continuous maintenance and reporting of cost and scheduling of the project. Also, I revise all information from Subcontractors and check the possible claims.

Initially, starting with the contract award phase, preliminary schedules and revisions of the different contracts.

Actions done :

  • Preparation and maintenance of the Cost Control, Scheduling and Planning System.

Working in the engineering phase to check the all activities and times needed to create the Level III schedule and revise the all proposed schedules and planning sequences to installation from Subcontractors in the preliminary phase. After this, along of construction phase, I was the responsible for the planning and control for the execution, construction schedules and the reviews, contract revision and continuous maintenance and reporting of them.

Also, I revise all information from Subcontractors and check the possible claims.

Primary Functions:

  • Provide planning and scheduling support through all phases of the project from FEED (Front End Engineering Design) to completion.
  • Liaise with Operator planner to ensure that the integrated schedule is accurately updated to meet the project requirements.

I was responsible for planning & cost control activities.During this work, I supervised a team of ten persons managing a level 5 planning.

In this position I was responsible for contractual claims, contract revision and general planning revisions; together with the usual work of project control / monitoring, alternative proposals to fulfil the project successfully, planning creation and maintenance, cost control and close monitoring and support in contract administration.

Primary Functions :

  • Creating / maintaining schedules with real project status against baseline / performance identifying / monitoring critical path and creating templates.

During the project my main responsibilities included the preparation of the project schedule, including man-hour estimates and preparation of a WBS structure for progress reporting and detailed breakout schedules for closer focus on critical areas.

Preparation of weekly and monthly reports including project narrative, schedule updates. Construction progress monitoring and assessment of the items was included in the Monthly Work Estimates.

Responsible for recognizing and monitoring changes to the original scope of work, liaising with the Engineering and Construction Departments to identify additional work, and preparation of correspondent change orders.

Responsible for claim preparation due to schedule impact caused by design changes and late delivery of free issue materials and equipment.

Development of the CPM Primavera schedule for the Hook Up and Commissioning Phase of the project and participate in the development and implementation of the job card management system used during this phase.
