Co., Kuwait.Operations Manager - July 2007 to DateReport To:Vice President (Owner & Partner) with respect to all Administrative and Non- Technical Functions of the Organization.Executive Vice President (Owner & Partner) with respect to all Technical Functions related to Business Development, Production Facilities Operations and Project Management for the specialized business areas such as Oil & Gas, Power and Water etc.Key Functions and Responsibilities: Project Business Evaluation– Production, Economic & Financial Feasibility - based on RFQs and Customers’ Technical Specs Project Estimation and Submission of Bids for various Clients Client base includes all the local Oil & Gas Companies such as KOC, KNPC, Joint Operations, PIC, Equate, OL2 K , Government Ministries from Electricity and Water, Power, Housing, Public Works etc. apart from International Clients such as DOW, FLUOR, Daelim, SKEC, Doosan, Siemens, GE, Hyundai, Tecnimont, GEA, Petrofac, Foster Wheeler,Technip etc. Discuss and finalize Projects at Commercial Negotiation and Contract Award Meetings Coordinate with Vice President’s Office for all matters related to Project Finance and Administration. Discuss, negotiate and finalize with local EPC’s partners for jointly bidding major government tenders and supervise In-House for the submission of suitable bids for the agreed scope of work, as per tender specifications and guidelines to avoid any rejection. Monitor, Control and approve all Procurement activities with respect to the specialized business areas and major project related procurement activities from placement of Order through till project closure. Plan, Coordinate and direct the activities of Teams from Engineering, Estimating, Drafting, Document Control, Project Engineering and Project Management functions of the organization. Manage all specialized business areas of Major Projects within the functional departments of the organization such as Design and Engineering, Quality Assurance and Control, Project Procurement, Manufacturing and Project Management to deliver a product that is meeting quality requirements, on time and within budget. Responsible for Scheduling, Monitoring and Control of all projects with Planning Engineer using M S Project. Coordinate and focus all customer communications with local and overseas Clients from the Oil & Gas Sector, EPC’s, Government and other Private Sector organizations with respect to Project Management and work progress. Ensure that all Organization Activities are planned as per ISO 9000: 2008 and ASME Code compliant. Appropriately staff and plan human resources with Departmental Heads of Manufacturing, Planning, Design, Estimation, Quality, Project Management etc for accomplishing the various Organizational Functions. Coordinate and ensure regular employee performance reviews, technical training and job development for the staff as and when needed. Study and perform formal evaluation of new technologies and production techniques/ processes, seek improvement of capital infrastructure etc. recommend and implement the same after due approval of the Owners. Management Representative.Organization – JPME - John Pickle Middle East (A Division of Kuwait Pipe Industries Oil Services) – Kuwait : Engineer / Project Manager ( 2001 to 2007) Responsible for the Design, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of Kuwait’s largest Post Weld Heat Treatment and Normalizing Furnace in JPME, Kuwait. After commissioning and stabilizing of the furnace operations, was made responsible for planning and implementation of other Capital Infrastructure Projects of the organization. 2002 to 2003: Additional responsibility given over activities concerning Planning, Purchasing and Expediting for all the materials required for the Pressure Vessels fabrication and Oil and Gas related activities of JPME. 2003 to 2005: Deputed to take over the Operations and Management of the Pressure Vessels Manufacturing facility. During this period many Pressure Vessel projects were executed for Clients such as KOC, KNPC, Joint Operations, Fluor, Petreco, Petrofac, PIC, Daelim, SKEC, Hyundai, Toyo, Prosernat, Technip etc. 2005 to 2007 : Project Manager for various Pressure Vessel / Static Equipment and Effluent Treatment Skid Projects for KOC,OL2K, PIC, Joint Operations etc. Other Projects managed include orders executed to various EPC’s such as Foster Wheeler, CameronPetreco, Petrofac, SKEC, Tecnimont, Hyundai etc.Organization – Aprant Iron & Steel Ltd. Goa.(which is part of DEMPO Group in Goa, India having various divisions such as Mining, Exports, Petroleum Coke, Engineering, Paints, Shipping, Marketing and other industries which are synonymous with the State of Goa’s Progress and Development.Manager Operations ( 2000 to 2001) As H.O.D. Operations, reported to the Managing Director with regards to the Final Testing and Pre-Commissioning trial runs for ensuring a smooth and successful commissioning, for achieving quickly and smoothly the rated production parameters.Organization- Bellary Steel & Alloys Limited, Integrated Steel Plant, Karnataka, India. Senior Manager- 1997 to 1999 As H.O.D. Blast Furnace, I was reporting to Executive Director of the Integrated Steel Plant and visited M/s Shougang Engineering Corporation, Bejing, China and was responsible for the Finalization, Transfer of Technology, Erection and Installation of the Blast Furnace Complex. Involved in the freezing of all shop layouts, scrutinizing, negotiation and finalization of all technical and commercial bids for all materials, equipment, machinery required in the Blast Furnace Complex.Organization – Usha Ispat, Maharashtra, India(Part of Group Usha having Interests and Operations in Iron & steel, Telecom, Information Technology, Finance, Rolling Mills and Non- Ferrous Industries.Dy. Mananger / Manager Operations - 1994 to 1997 Responsible for the operation of all the three blast furnaces and the satisfactory maintenance activities of all the mechanical equipment consisting of electromechanical drives, conveyors, pump houses, screening plants, cranes, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic related equipment. Actively involved in the erection, commissioning and stabilization of Blast Furnace No.3. Overall In charge for the complete planning and execution of the Capital Repair of Blast Furnace No. 2. In the absence of H.O.D. reported directly to the Executive Director with regards to the day to day activities of the plant.Organization- SESA Industries, SESA GOA, Goa, IndiaSuperintendent Engineer- 1993 to 1994 Shift In Charge for their Mini Blast Furnace- Brazilian KORF Design Operations and responsible for the shift operations and maintenance of the Pig Iron Plant.Organization – Viskhapatnam Steel PlantJoined as Senior Metallurgical Trainee and selected for specialization in Blast Furnace Technology and its Operations in an Integrated Steel Plant 1987 – 1993. Actively involved in the erection and subsequent commissioning of the Blast Furnace Plant and related auxiliaries. After commissioning was posted in the Main Control Complex and was responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of the complex in shift having an work force of over 60 persons consisting of supervisors, staff and workers. Deputed for Testing and Commissioning of Second Blast Furnace Complex and was responsible for the operation and maintenance of the various sections having equipment consisting of electro-mechanical drives, Program Logic Controlled Systems, Cranes, Pumps, Actuators, and related equipment.I have a strong communication skills (written and oral), negotiation and man management skills, which have been gained and developed over a period of time.
