The Egyptian Styrenics Production company started to execute phase I (i.e. to build polystyrene plant based on imported styrene monomer feed).

The Plant is located on the Mediterranean Sea Coast, NW of Alexandria at Dekhila port

The Plant total production capacity is 200,000 metric tons per annum of general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) products.


Work duties:

·         Arranging the planning and scheduling of work.

·         Carrying out pre inspections and also final inspections.

·         Liaison with engineers, designers, local authorities, contractors and suppliers.

·         The constant monitoring of the project works and also ongoing cost control.

·         Prior planning and the identification of critical materials essential for the project construction.

·         Responsible for quality control of engineering and construction documents.

·         Revising the EPC contract.

·         One of the supervision team who is responsible for the civil works, QC /QA activities and testing.

·         Follow up for all construction steps starting from pilling for foundations, soil replacement, and other earth works, formwork, reinforcement and up till concrete finished product.

 

 

·         Responsible for Water stop, installation and adjustment of earthling strips, embedded steel parts, and anchor bolts.

·         Concrete surface finishing and curing as one of the concrete follow up programs.

·         Random check for steel structure members delivered on site.

·         Erection; verticality and alignment check for steel members.

·         Steel painting check through micron thickness gage.

·         Cladding installation and fixation including all the required accessories for the work perfection.

·         Execution of concrete foundations and concrete skeleton for the main substation building, the control and the Auxiliary substation buildings as well.

·         Execution of concrete work for the main project pipe racks foundations and placing of their anchor bolts according to the drawings and the project specifications.

·         Supervision of the execution of concrete and bentonite piles for the open drain sump.

·         Review the Monthly Reports supported with all the details showing the progress achieved and the progress forecasted.

·         Review and approve the two weeks look ahead schedule, 28 days look ahead schedule & three months look ahead schedule.
