Construction of a R 550 mil Ammonium Sulphate Plant

Utilizing MS Projects to manage the master Project schedule.

Updating the project plan with all scope changes ,site instructions and environmental circumstances.

Analyzing weekly reports from the subcontractors to update the project plan.  

Preparing status reports including S-Curve, weekly and monthly progress reports.

Reporting weekly to the Client and head office in South Africa.

Attending weekly progress meetings with the client.

Assisting the Project Manager with project detail for claims from the Subcontractors.

Assisting the construction manager  and piping supervisor with planning of work to do.

The construction entails 650 T steel erection, 1190 T equipment,  9900 m pipelines, 487 instruments and78 km of electrical and instrument cabling.

Mechanical Construction done by Chinese subcontractor NCC. Electrical and Instrumental installation done by IME and B&W both from South Africa and SOMECA from Madagascar.
