As a Planning Manager / Sr. Planning Engineer in Civil Contracting Co. (CIVILCO) LLC - Oman (ISO 9001:2000) worked on various oil & gas projects for petroleum development Oman (PDO) such as Haban hydrocarbon oil field development, Up-gradation of Oman refineries & Petrochemicals, Haima west gas turbine power plant and carried out key responsibilities such as schedule development, resources allocation, schedule analysis and project controls.

As a Sr. Planning / Scheduling Engineer for many hospital/residential/commercial projects, scope included administration building blocks, accommodations, electro-mechanical services, sewerage treatment plants and temporary accommodation, working with medium to large size teams. Ameen set-up procedures and processes for managing projects worth more than $20million, performing multiple job roles such as; planner, scheduler, overall project controls engineer & project coordinator, throughout the project life cycle.

The details of responsibilities carried in this company are as mentioned below:

Planning & Scheduling – Developed master schedules and schedule templates in Primavera, progress & schedule updates, prepared & distributed monthly look-ahead schedules, visited sites regularly, roll-out weekly project reporting requirements to team including weekly man-hour analysis, equipment and personal recording, actively supported team of planning engineers under me.

Attended many project kick-off meeting presented respective high level schedules for the projects, contributed on resource, budget and risk analysis processes. Prepared project execution plan for the contract for client approval, maintained forecast of work package and contract cost. Prepared fortnightly and monthly progress reports and supported project engineers.

Contract Administration – prepared tender schedule and assisted in evaluation to award, attend contract meetings, maintained weekly meeting minutes, maintained subcontractor KPI’s, issued work service orders, monitored progress, check quantity reports and processed monthly progress claims.

Construction Support – implemented effective site project control procedures, provided on-site project controls support for some of the contracts, carried out regular site inspections and supported project manager and construction manager in administering the construction process. Ensure the resources are getting deployed at site as planned.

Procurement – assisted procurement manager by providing package schedule with key dates, in obtaining quotes, raising requisition, ordering and expedite materials for the project team.

Project Administration – project documentation control, distributed correspondence & filed, support discipline leads/engineers in understanding project control procedures, contributed to closeout reporting. Reported to project manager
