Engineering / Designing:

• Hands on experience in projects involving Detailed Engineering, Equipment and associated Piping Designing, Material Specificationsas per International Codes / Standards like BS, IS, IBR, ASME, ASTM, API, TEMA, etc.
• Conducting the feasibility study for Mini Projects and Plant Modifications to be implemented in the plant in consultation with respective sections like Process, Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation, Safety etc.
• To perform preliminary stress analysis for steam and process piping.
• Reviewing construction documents made by field engineering group as per the site requirement.

Drafting:

• Preparation of General Arrangement Layouts based on P&ID’s, Equipment Layout, Plot Layout Plans.
• Preparation of Isometric Drawings based on Piping General Arrangement (GA) Drawings.
• Preparation of Spare Parts / Support detail drawings for Fabrication / Shop Drawings.
• Provide Technical assistance to Drafting team.

Estimation:

• Preparation of Bill of Material / Quantities / Bulk MTO for Procurement, Tendering as per Specifications.
• Estimation of project duration using Bill of Quantity and the Productivity Rate.

Procurement:

• Raising purchase requisition / Indenting of piping material with detailed scope and specifications.
• Scrutinisation / Evaluation of QCS (Quotation Comparative Statement).
• Recommending / suggesting technically / commercially qualified vendors.
• Placing of purchase orders.

Planning / Scheduling:

• Studying project detailed scope of work, project specific procedures and tender documents.
• Developing project schedules and monitor progress of all construction activities with project quality requirement, time and safety.
• Preparing progress measurement reports, S-curve, manpower and equipment histograms.
• Maintained good and efficient relationships with client / contractors to achieve the objectives for the projects.
• Assist in deputize for Section Heads in planning, progress measurement reporting, manpower loading and general administration activities on a project.
• Planning all construction activities including providing technical inputs of construction and co-ordination with site consultants.
• As a monthly information system reporter, to give a brief information for the colleagues that the real status of the project according to the project progress in the form of S-Curve.

Construction / Installation:

• Hands on experience in fabrication, erection / installation of process and utility equipment and its associated piping during online and plant turn around.
• Implemented more than 100 Process / Utilities Plant Modifications (cost estimation till final execution).
• Ensure interaction with other disciplines for interfaces particularly Scaffolding / Civil / Electrical / Instrumentation / Maintenance / Structural / Material Management and Process.
• Co-ordination with other related departments for execution at site.
• Co-ordination with contractors for timely execution of projects.
• Complying with Health, Safety and Environment Standards during the execution of project.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001, ISO 14000 EMS, PSMS and RC 14001 systems in the section.

Inspection / Testing:

• Conversant with welding and heat treatment processes as per the materials and specifications.
• Hands on experience in hydrostatic testing and commissioning of process and utility equipment and the associated piping.
• Conversant with welding and material inspection tests like LP (Liquid Penetrant), RT (Radiography test), UT (Ultrasonic Test), Eddy Current Test, Chemical Analysis, etc.

Conducting the PSSR (Pre Start-up Safety Review) as per PSMS.
