  • Create and maintain P6 schedule programme using data from the MoD requirement, ensuring that the correct level of logic is incorporated to support the Programme Manager’s requirement.
  • Apply the FSMIPT Project Structure to all programmes incorporating logic & coding as required to deliver programme outputs.
  • Facilitate meetings with FSMIPT Heads of Department and Design and Safety Teams to actively collect progress information and updates of Primavera P6 work schedules.
  • Maintain the Primavera P6 version of the master programme Key Date Schedule and interfaces with other organisations programmes.
  • Develop and update as necessary individual network programmes/deadline dates /plans to meet FSMIPT Through Life Support requirements in conjunction with internal Control Account Manager(CAMs)/Heads of Department (HOD) & MoD Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The programmes developed are required to meet FSMIPT objectives as far as reasonably practicable.
  • Carry out Periodic update of programmes to identifying deviations from Baseline and recommend corrective actions where necessary to resource managers.
  • Validate new requirements /task sheets against the budget, and use the latest information to advise on available resource.
  • Generate Cost Account Codes, prior to loading data in Primavera P6 & E-biz/MIS.
  • Apply earned value and schedule performance reporting to the programmes and validate provider inputs to periodic progress reports.
  • Provide Centre Managers/HoD’s/PM’s/CAMs with routine and ad-hoc detailed reports /resource loading graphs /expenditure reports /sub-contract status information /gant charts /activity tables and progress reports.
  • Assign resource as directed by HoDs and generate Resource Loading Profiles to confirm resource availability.
  • In conjunction with the Planning Manager, ensure that risks, in the Risk Register, are incorporated in any programme requiring risk to be monitored. Provide Risk Analysis & Impact reports and advice on programme mitigation to the Planning Manager & Programme Manager as required.
  • Provide progress/cost reports for each project, to HODs for inclusion in the monthly Business Unit Review (BUR)
  • Provide a cost collection service for all project and overhead work within FSMIPT(TLS), providing utilisation factor reports for Resource Manager/Heads of Department.
  • Closely liaise with the Planning Manager and Stakeholders to continuously improve the project planning tools and deliverables within FSMIPT(TLS).
  • Manage a small team of Planners/Administrators/Cost Engineers when project requirements arise.
  • Assist TLS Programme Manager/Planning Manager in compiling FSMIPT(TLS) budgets for the forthcoming year.
  • Review FSMIPT(TLS) budgets with HoD’s to ensure requirements for the forthcoming year meet with the projects .
  • Load FSMIPT(TLS) budget/tasks into E-biz/MIS for forthcoming year and ensure all tasks are enabled and staff properly assigned to the correct workgroups.
  • Maintain the integrity of FSMIPT task/staff assignments within E-biz/MIS throughout the year.
  • Ensure all FSM incorrect Ebiz/MIS bookings are properly journaled to the correct codes and maintain an appropriate audit trail.
