As a project engineer, I was responsible for providing project engineering and cost control support to the staff for different company’s projects.
I was in charge on:
- Management of contract invoicing, contract/project milestones and payment status database,
- cost control, balance and administration of subcontractors payment status database,
- maintaining a Cost Engineering Database with necessary documentation and information to allow quality benchmarking of the cost controlling, ensured proper data entering, maintaining and updating,
- ensuring that appropriate cost controlling and controlling tools and methodologies are available to provide accurate cost and estimates for all components in the project - WBS (Work Breakdown Structure ),
- ensuring that necessary cost controlling standards, procedures and work instructions are established, fully updated, maintained and applied,
- ensuring that necessary piping standards, procedures and work instructions are established, fully updated, maintained and applied,
- collecting data and managing day by day the bill of quantities,
- cost control for extra work and variation orders,
- accounting calculation of piping spools, piping supports & structural steel requirements,
- control and manage the databases of P&ID & isometric drawings, piping BOM & MTO, Golden Weld, etc,
- Control and manage the database of mechanical works progress ( prefabrication and erection ) - CPM(S),,
- Database management and reporting of project manpower and man-hour status,
- Complex data analyzing to identify any anomalies, focused on details with the implementation of corrective actions,
- assisted senior cost engineers and project control engineers, cost control manager in creation of specific reports ( weekly reports, monthly reports, etc ) and cost control analysis,
- maintaining a good communication level with all company’s departments, subcontractors and customers in a professional manner,
To ensure the operability and technical performances in line with the project targets and deadlines
