Ken Wong Profile

 

Ken has 19 years’ experience on planning for various types of projects including rail infrastructure, telecoms network, highway, water supply, airports and electricity substation.  He has extensive secondment experience to Network Rail as a senior project planner.  He is an expert user of Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management software including setting up the enterprise structure, resource library and calendars. He is also familiar with all other common planning software including Microsoft Project.  He also has experience in using Oracle Project financial package.  He has the ability to handle a large amount of planning data and able to export these data to Excel for analysis to produce graphs and charts for project and programme management.  He is an expert in rail infrastructure design and construction planning.  His programming techniques include resource and cost assignment, earned value (EV) analysis, SPI and CPI calculation and evaluation.


He has experience with London Underground Ltd on assessments of claims submissions and extension of time (EOT) on tunnel and underground station construction projects.

In-depth experience with a major civil engineering contractor in the UK as construction planner on various highway projects, along with the preparation and monitoring of contractor's Clause 14 contract programmes and the production of various reports and graphs for construction management.

In-depth site supervision and construction experience on various Hong Kong Highway and Town Park projects

 

He is highly motivated, good in communication, able to work independently and under pressure.  He develops his own programme library, reporting templates and some working tools to boost his performance and productivity.  

 

For professional membership, Ken is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and the Association for Project Management. (MAPM)  He is an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) working towards Chartered Engineer status.
