Roles and Responsibilities :

• Overseeing and planning for overall production activities, implementing effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations & achieve cost savings.
• Maintaining close coordination with raw material suppliers; Quality Department for ensuring readiness of material for dispatch after inspection.
• Monitoring project progress and reviewing project schedule, manpower planning, etc.
• Contributing to the erection & commissioning of plant/ manufacturing facilities.
• Making or buying decisions depending on the urgency and budget.
• Coordinating project activities from starting till the closing of the project.
• Ensuring all project activities are carried out in line with the project plans and budgets.
• Handled steel plant equipments, desalination plant equipments, offshore module projects, pressure vessels and heat exchangers; planned projects related to Hazira Plate Mill (capacity to produce plate with 5 mtr. Width) & compact strip mill equipments.
• Acted as a Project Coordinator from P.O. receipt to execution of the project till dispatch of the same.
• Mapped Material Requirement Planning; carried out planning of multiple project, handled scheduling, defined activities & gave weightage % and handled resource planning, drafted daily plan & weekly plan as per schedule & monitored progress by using MS Project 2007 & Primavera P6.
• Coordinated with other departments like production, purchase, auxiliary services, etc. on a regular basis.
• Finalized vendor / contractor for the project & expedited the same; scheduled as well as organised review meetings with project team and client.
• Handled documentation as per guidelines of ISO 9000:2008. (been a team member for ISO 9000 implementation)
• Involved in SAP (PS/PP) implementation and handling entire planning activities using SAP.
