PLANNING MANAGER

Recruited specifically for a senior position on the new international airport at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Start delayed due to the political situation. Interim period used in preparing proposals for project management consultancy using Primavera and Microsoft Project.

 Subsequently selected for a consultancy contract with the Provisional Airport Authority in Hong Kong to prepare a silent tender for the New Terminal Building at Chek Lap Kok. Three months intensive use of Primavera, which by this time had replaced Artemis as the world leader in project management software.

A team of 20 specially selected project staff were flown to Hong Kong, and provided offices and clerical support in Central Plaza, to carry out this secret exercise, aimed at establishing a benchmark bid against which the real bidders could be measured. A very challenging task was successfully completed to a very tight schedule.
