March, 2009 Current Role - March 2009 – present : Programme Reporting Specialist (Crossrail Programme and Reading Station Redevelopment)
- Leading a team of reporting analysts;
- Overall accountability for the preparation of periodic reports for internal and external clients, e.g. Network Rail Executive, ORR and Crossrail, with responsibilities for:-
- Extracting key data from progress reports across all functional and delivery teams to prepare executive summaries for internal and external clients;
- Determining key issues to be escalated;
- Reviewing plans to determine progress against key milestones, analysing variances against baseline dates and establishing a RAG status based on agreed criteria;
- Analysing earned Value metrics using suppliers’ progress against design deliverables or key quantities and determining reasons for variances, seeking clarity on recovery plans;
- Analysing high level cost, time and performance data (budget, authority, expenditure, contingency, milestones, EV) to report to NR at Board Level;
- Continuous improvement and development of new and existing periodic progress & performance reports at Project, Programme & Executive level;
- Introduction, management and development of Reporting Process and Procedures to ensure that information is managed efficiently and effectively across the Programme Controls team;
- Attendance at all key internal and external progress review meetings;
- Meeting and communicating with all internal and external key stakeholders to ensure that reporting requirements and expectations are met by all parties;
- Driving quality of reports across the team through the introduction of Quality metrics;
- Representing Crossrail Programme for HQ initiative to introduce standardised reporting includingthe design of reports, establishing Business Rules and Technical Requirements, agreeing RAGs and ongoing data quality / validation checks
