The maiden Railway network (under Federal Government) built in phases (Stage-1,2 & 3) to link the strategic locations of UAE and the broader GCC network both for Freight and Passenger services with estimated Project Cost of AED40billion. The Stage1 consisted of design, build, install, test & commission a railway line 264kms in length connecting ShahHabshan-Ruwais (SHR) in Abu Dhabi. Had the dual responsibility of working for Project and Operations for Etihadrail. As part of Project working for Client’s Project Controls, managing the PMC and Contractors project control for delivering the Design & Built programme which consisted of Level 1, 2 & 3 directly reporting to the Programme Controls Director. The work (project cost AED4.0billion) included but not limited to planning (Baseline schedule), scheduling, monitoring, control and reporting in forms of various dashboard to various level of Senior Management within organization and to Owner (GASCO). Apart from the major Design & Build contract, as part of Client organization managed more than 100 various Projects dealing with preliminary engineering, geo-tech, various specialist consultant, Rolling Stock manufacture (Locos and Wagons), Yellow plant, to specialized Commissioning contractor. This also included managing these multiple projects in Primavera Database Management (primavera 8.2) with a well-defined Enterprise Project Structure and Work Breakdown Structure with monthly task of transferring these project data into SAP as part of SAP Integration for the organizational ERP system. Prepared detailed Level 3 Testing & Commissioning programme in order to track the Contractors progress in testing related to Static, Dynamic, Reliability, System Integration and System Operation Demonstration Test (SODT). Reviewed and analysed the Contractor’s Claim (AED 1.2billion) programme (Impacted As Planned), Extension of Time (EoT) and Disruption work along with M/s Hill International who were the assigned claim specialist for this job. Participated in tendering work for Stage-2 works preparing the programme requirement Level 2 and TILOS schedule. As part of Operation responsibility prepared and managed the Operation & Maintenance Mobilisation Programme to drive the Operator (Etihad Rail & DeutscheBahn Schenker –ERDB) to achieve the Operation Readiness in order to perform the Trial Operation (11000MT of sulphur per trip from Shah to Ruwais port) for Stage 1.
