I have been involved in the professional implementation and utilisation of computer based design facilities since 1983. With a wide exposure to multiple engineering disciplines throughout my early career within both a federal government aviation department and an international petro-chemical company, I have successfully implemented one the first private personal computer based network CAD facilities within Australia. My ongoing focus to implement computers as an aid to business processes has provided opportunities to apply my computer aided design skills in minerals exploration, civil, hydrographic, architectural and cartographic applications. My current role as Manager - Building Information at Sydney Opera House is providing me with the opportunity to develop a facilities  management interface. The basis of this FM interface will be a dynamic web-based visualization tool that will interrogate a BIM compliant dataset of all the engineering documentation relating to the design, construction and on-going management of this iconic and world heritage listed building.
