The company is world leader in manufacturing aluminium high speed passenger ferries, Patrol boats and recently was engaged with production of navy ships such as the famous Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), the first aluminium tri hull for the USA government. Austal Ships provide construction and EPCM services to a wide range of suppling luxury and navy boats to clients. Reporting to the Project Planning manager and General Project manager, the main responsibilities are and not limited to:

  • Integrate inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
  • Managing Design and production projects in the phases of engineering, electrical, mechanical and construction.
  • Capacity planning for what-if projects, S-Curve development and histograms.
  • Review and assess the work sequences with the total project plan
  • Maintaining checks and balances for accurately tracking performance updates
  • Generating weekly and monthly reports and managing schedule progress
  • Effectively manage time, cost and resources
  • Create effective schedule structure to client specs (ie. Australian Navy special requirements for WBS codes, DAC reporting and milestones linkage).
  • Improve Operational efficiency and reduce performance risk
  • Create weekly progress KPI’s and step progress reports
  • Develop AutoCAD build sequence plans and assessing progress and performance and reporting to Operations Manager
  • Acting up position as a Planning Manager
  • Take a lead in preparing schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested
