Planning & Scheduling

 

                                                    

·         Preparation of  master program of works detailing the project scope using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and organizing the project activities by CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) indexing system with estimated cost workouts (Cash flow /S-curve) and justifiable resource allocation (Labor/Staff-Manpower Histogram) in line with Tender/Contract drawings, Bill Of Quantity, Specifications, Contract documents and Main/General Contractor program of works  in accordance with FIDIC Clause 14.1/8.3

·         Understanding of all MEP project disciplines & Civil Activities while ensuring that total project schedule needs and integration of schedule activities

·         Preparing project schedule, manpower and quantity reports

·         Ensuring the preparation and presentation of the Critical Items Action Report

·         Monitoring critical activities based on the project schedule and advice project management

·         Preparing project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas

·         Review, update and report on the monthly mark-up of  project schedule showing actual progress against planned progress

·         Analyze and forecast the gaps between planned Vs actual project timelines for deliverables and highlighting the areas of slippage ,needing corrective action for project team

·         Develop and monitor Recovery/Catch Up program to mitigate delays by applying fast tracking and concurrent planning techniques assigning the appropriate resources necessary to complete the project work.

·         Preparing and submitting updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress

·         Identifying areas of weakness and establishing means and methods for recovery

·         Monitoring day to day work progress and preparing the weekly and monthly program and report

·         Preparing monthly report that reflects work progress summary

·         Liaising with project site management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks

·         Reporting to Project Manager about the current work progress and making comparison between plan and actual progress 

·         Studying impact of alternative approaches to work

·         Assisting in preparation work program, cash flow and manpower histogram for tenders

·         Preparing Entitlement Programmes for Extension of Time (EOT) and acceleration of works

·         Evaluating claims with respect to time and produce claim analysis report accordingly

·         Conducting progress meetings Internal & External

·         Measuring the project progress using Earned Value Management Techniquesand setting up Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to benchmark individual discipline wise and collective project performance

·         Establishing 2 Weeks Progress & Look Ahead program, detailing total, achieved and balance quantum of work and its associated manpower

·         Create, maintain  and tracking project deliverable register’s for design engineering (E1), procurement (E2), Engineers Instruction(EI), Factory acceptance test (FAT)  and Request For Information (RFI)

·         Preparation of  daily, weekly and monthly project performance reports in accordance with the client requirements

·         Supervision and provision of technical advice and support to project planning engineers, including the development of scheduling standards and procedures for all phases of the program

 

 

Extension of Time & Prolongation Claims

 

·         Identification of change and undertaking assessments of impact in critical path and preparation of  Extension of Time program for project completion with causation and effect of delay events using following methods

üImpacted As Planned,

üAs Built Vs As Planned Comparison and

üTime Impact Analysis Method

·         Preparation of Time Implications with the narration of Delay Event fragnet and its associated Cost for the issued Engineering Instruction’s (EI) and Request for information (RFI)

·         Liaise and coordinate  with Client Contracts team for substantiation and approval of raised Time Implications and project specific program requirement with project delivery teams, designers, subcontractors and suppliers

·         Analysis of concurrent and third party delays associated with project life cycle, followed by issuance of claim notification for concerned parties involved in the project
