February, 2016 The Cerro Verde Production Unit Expansion Project is a US$4.6-billion-dollar capital projectwith29,194,830 direct manhoursdeveloped on a brown field SMCV’s operating mine site. The key components of the project include 240,000 tpd Copper Concentrator, the Linga Tailing Storage Facility (TSF), and associated infrastructure and ancillary facilities.
Worked as owner’srepresentative, responsible for providing planning and cost control analytical advice, and functional support for construction management teams in the area of project management during construction phase.
- Developing owner’s Level 3 Control schedule & identified critical path & near critical path activities
- Coordinating with EPCM Contractor & various other contractors for schedule, progress reporting & measurement. Review & approval of Baseline progress measurement system.
- Performing Contractor schedule assessment and forensic analysis, provide review & feedback and final approval.
- Close working with EPCM contractor and assist in problem areas when observing issues that may be missed.
- Coordinate and maintain construction project schedule, facilitate new schedule development and maintenance with construction management team.
- Implement system for overall status reporting on financial aspects and schedules associated with design and construction projects.
- Analyze schedule information and enforce corrective action to ensure each project meets required service in dates.
- Prepare detail schedule report as required using critical path view, baseline vs actual view, look ahead view and scenarios.
- Worked with CMT Planning team in developing Construction commodities graphs such as Concrete, Piping. Modules Installation, Electrical-Trays, Cable, Termination etc.
- Participating in weekly Construction Progress & Productivity meeting and identifying the key progress issues to management. Helping Management & contractors to develop the mitigation plans in case of progress slippage.
- Checking the contractor’s monthly construction progress & certifying the Monthly progress invoices for the payment.
