In addition to Phil’s responsibilities as an owner and director of Axiom Project Services, Phil has been involved with the following projects:

Lihir Pit Optimisation Study (Newcrest Mining Limited): Project Controls lead engaged to provide Project Controls services incorporating the establishment and management of the pre-feasibility study control budget and schedule baselines, progress measurement and reporting functions. In addition to this role, Axiom was engaged to prepare multiple Life of Mine capital and operating cost estimates, cash flows and implementation schedules associated with the pre-feasibility study.

Gladstone New Fuels Development Project - Stage 2 (QER Pty Ltd): Project Controls lead on the Owner’s team for the development of a commercial scale shale to liquids project. The role incorporates the establishment and maintenance of a control budget throughout the ECI phase, reporting of cost and progress as well as involvement in the development of a Project Master Schedule.

APLNG Upstream Gas Gathering Network (WDS Limited):Engaged in a project planning capacity to develop a revised master schedule baseline for the construction of remaining works associated with well sites and gas gathering network.

QGC Phase II Tranche 1A & 1B Concept & Pre-FEED Engineering (Jacobs Engineering):Engaged in an estimating capacity to assist with the development of capital cost estimates for the QGC’s concept and Pre-FEED engineering associated with Phase II Tranche 1A and 1B upstream CSG development. The role incorporated the development of cost estimates associated with eight separate streams of work including well head facilities, gas gathering network and field compression stations.

George Fisher GF6 Underground Mine Expansion Project – Brisbane and Mt Isa Project Office (Xstrata Zinc):Initially engaged in an estimating capacity to develop a feasibility cost estimate for project funding on the George Fisher Mine 6Mtpa Expansion Project near Mt Isa. The role evolved into the development of project schedule and cost baselines suitable for project control through the construction execution phase. The project incorporates mining development, underground materials handling, ventilation shaft and dewatering infrastructure facilities.

George Fisher Expansion Cost Reforecast – Mt Isa Project Office (Xstrata Zinc):Estimating Manager engaged to co-ordinate the development of a cost reforecast on the George Fisher Mine 4.5Mtpa Expansion Project near Mt Isa. The project incorporates mining development, underground crushing and materials handling, hoisting shaft, dewatering infrastructure and surface stockpile facilities.

Lady Loretta Definitive Estimate – Mt Isa Project Office (Xstrata Zinc):Estimating Manager engaged on the Lady Loretta Mine Project for the development of a Zinc/Lead deposit located North West of Mt Isa. Responsibilities included the co-ordination and development of a definitive cost estimate and schedule for revised control baselines.

Lihir MOPU (Million Ounce Plant Upgrade Project) – Brisbane Project Office (Newcrest Mining Limited):Senior Planning Engineer engaged on the Lihir MOPU Project to increase the total annual gold production at the mine incorporating a major process plant expansion.   Responsibilities included the development and monitoring of the Definitive Estimate Project Master Schedule baseline, development and establishment of progress monitoring and performance reporting systems and procedures, review and appraisal of contractor detail schedules, review and consolidation of weekly and monthly reports submitted from the site management team, recruitment and training of staff for deployment to the site Project Controls team.
