Planner / Scheduler, SCIF, cement plant, Fertilizer Plants
START Date:
February, 2020
END Date:
September, 2022 In the Structural Mechanical Piping construction of three Phosphate Fertilizer plants for OCP in Morocco, I managed the consortium's master schedule on Primavera P6, overseeing 7,000 activities per plant. My role involved coordinating and merging Contractor-Contractor schedules and liaising with client planners. I established the baseline schedule on P6 based on the DCMA 14-point Schedule Assessment and was responsible for defining and creating calendars, WBS, activities, sequencing, resource loading, and activity codes. Weekly, I updated the P6 schedule, extracted the critical path, reported variances, and rescheduled activities when necessary. Additionally, I developed and maintained the project’s dashboard, utilizing earned value management to establish measurement tools for calculating KPIs (SPI, CPI) and tracking progress in terms of man-hours, cost, and physical metrics, visualized through graphs and S-curves. My efforts in developing these KPIs and issuing timely warnings helped keep the loss of man-hours-related costs at 15%. I also established monthly application for payment reports and closely followed up with the client to ensure prompt approvals. My responsibilities extended to assisting in various recurrent reports, both monthly and weekly, as well as drafting official correspondence for the Project Manager, including notice and claim letters. Claims against the employer for breach of contractual obligations amounted to 5% of the contract. Furthermore, I led and participated in several internal and external meetings. In the Structural Mechanical Piping construction of a Cement plant for LafargeHolcim in Morocco, I supervised construction works, including those of the thermal insulation subcontractor. I managed the weekly update of an 800-activity schedule on MS Project, measured project progress, and extracted the S-curve. I ensured compliance with QHSE standards on-site and was responsible for preparing various recurrent reports, including monthly and weekly updates.
