Construction Manager

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, responsible for the management of a project team of planners, QS, Supervisors, installation gangs and sub-contractors in the delivery of civils construction works (Concrete Signal bases, earthworks etc) in support of re-signalling schemes with the companies Framework Partner, Westinghouse Rail Systems Ltd.

Projects undertaken:

Erewash Phase 1A - value £500,000

Lincoln Re-Signalling Scheme - value £5,000,000

Responsibilities:

• Development, control and analysis of the project programme, using Primavera P6 Software, from contract award, design phase and delivery through to completion
• Undertaking planning meetings with the client in order to co-ordinate works with all parties working on the scheme and reporting progress to the clients Planning Manager
• Ensuring the timely production of Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets
• Managing the project delivery team. At its peak this numbered 70No. Staff and sub-contractors.
• Ensuring compliance with H&S and QA Systems, ensuring requirements are built into the programme.
• Resource planning and ensuring any local authority requirements, where required were met.
