Employed through Railtrack Headquarters as the Zonal liaison. Responsible for delivering the North West Zone’s Incremental Output Statement programme and the Modern Facilities at Stations programme. The Incremental Output Statement programme was a Strategic Rail Authority initiative to provide enhancements to the rail network. The North West Zone’s programme included 36 schemes, 12 of which were progressed to full feasibility studies, the remainder were carried out as desktop studies within North West Zone. The Modern Facilities at Stations programme was another Strategic Rail Authority initiative to improve basic facilities at most stations on the rail network.Responsibilities included co-ordination of all disciplines within Railtrack and external consultants to ensure that feasibility studies, estimates and programmes were completed to tight timescales. Production of scheme programmes and possession strategies. Cost loading of programmes to produce cash flow forecasts for the Incremental Output Statements programme.

Other duties undertaken included co-ordinating the Modern Facilities at Stations programme in the North West Zone and integrating those works with other Property works in the Zone. Setting up a five-year plan for property works, including Merseytravel Local Transport Plan works.
