Functional Responsibilities

 

As a Budget & Cost Engineer

Carry out analysis of budget variances and issue variance reports to the Department Manager and Section Heads.- (5 to 8 hours/week)

Issuing timely cost reports together with trending and forecasting to enable proactive financial controls to be applied by Department Manager and Section Heads.- 5% of working hours

Ensure correct posting of cost against the operating and capital budget account numbers by monitoring all maintenance expenditure & Coordinate the audit plan for the department and follow up recommendation for implementation - time to time for the different cost centers and cost control parameters

Main responsibilities on monthly, quarterly & yearly accruals finalization and to confirm with ledger reports – 15 to 20         hours/month

Prepare Fixed Asset form and Assets Capitalization. Update Asset Register, initiate Asset retirement request, Asset transfer request, Asset write off form.

Ensure development & implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) and UAE Nationalization directives.(2 to 3 hours/week

Preparation of Yearly and five (5) year business plans with in the Habshan & Habshan-5 - maintenance Group on yearly basis in line with Company strategic objectives and Shareholders recommendations and guidelines.

As a Project Control Engineer

Project Controls Specialist (PCO) is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities on allocated projects, as well as the legitimacy of the work assignments for allocated projects & personnel. Responsibility includes corporate governance, procedure compliance and should provide technical leadership to GPC personnel allocated to the PCOs assigned projects.

Responsible for maintaining GPC procedure compliance & standards to help achieve global consistency accountable for accuracy & timely delivery of all project &management estimates, reports & forecasts for costs & schedules on allocated projects including quarterly exception report

Ensuring that all project control activities such as project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements

Support PMs in controlling & following up with Honeywell & 3rd party subcontracting deliverables, performance, & cost Invoices

Responsible for the development of scope, schedule, budget and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks. Lead in the creation of Work Breakdown Structure and development of schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements

Support PMs in managing and maximizing project margins

Analyzes unit rates to the extent that corrective action can be taken to minimize project losses

Assembles and compiles schedule and cost data and inputs into the project control database and provides output to the project team

Supports the Project Management team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems

Develops and maintains status reports including: Labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis, Cost Performance
