Planning Engineer, Saudi Consulting Services, King Abdullah Financial District - Subterranean Road and Underneath Utilities Tunnels

  • Review and approve the detailed work schedule in Primavera P6 prepared and submitted by the contractor with emphasis in the checking of its WBS, activities as per scope of work, activity logic network and relationships, activity durations, milestones dates, resource loading and cash flow, and method statement/construction methodology that substantiate the programme schedule.
  • Review the two-week look-ahead schedule submitted by the contractor.
  • Review and check the weekly progress update based on the approved schedule as the baseline.
  • Check and review the contractor’s daily and weekly construction reports.
  • Conduct a site-walk with the contractor’s planning engineer and evaluate the actual progress of the project.
  • Generate report of the project status from the updated schedule such as planned vs. actual s-curve, histogram and resource loading graph.
  • Prepare the engineer’s weekly report and executive monthly report for submission to the client highlighting the status of the project, the major activities done, manpower and equipment record, significant events/delays, and other issues on site.
  • Prepare and submit to client weekly forecast of the completion dates of activities in-progress and the start and finish dates of activities that has yet to start based on the actual progress and site conditions.
  • Attend regularly the weekly progress meeting with the contractor and client’s representatives and present the planned and actual progress of the project for the week.
