Joined as Production Engineer and later promoted as Asst. Works Manager. Asmaco Inds. primarily a Plastic & Extrusion Products Manufacturing Company, but  also trading with Packaging Materials imported from Europe & Middle-east. Was responsible for

  • Assist the Works Manager with the overall running of the Workshop
  • Assist Works Manager in the recruitment, training, development, performance management, discipline, motivation and safe working practices of workshop staff.
  • Understand the work flow in each section and work with Supervisors in the scheduling of jobs and allocation of resources so maximum efficiency and economy of operations is achieved with each job.
  • Control the flow of jobs through the workshop including; scheduling, priorities, progress updates and productivity.
  • Revision of production schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities and availability and capability of workers, parts, materials, machines and equipment.
  • Compilation of reports when required.
  • Assist the Works Manager to oversee the Branch apprentices, ensuring training meets course and company requirements, log books are completed, rotation through each section has been achieved, and there is adequate supervision.
  • Assist Works Manager in the coordination of shifts, overtime, leave applications and apprentices block college release to ensure maximum coverage for required labour.
  • Ensure that the Company QESH (Quality Environment Safety Health) systems are adhered to in the Workshop.
