Project Planning Engineer, Amec Services Ltd, Shah-Deniz Gas Platform & Flow line Engineering Modification Services (EMS Contract)

Daily Onshore Activities:

  • Preparation and maintenance of level 3, 4&5 plans as fully constrained and resourced networks, including the leveling of work agreed priorities, resource levels and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with the work breakdown structure and coding.
  • Monitor on weekly basis changes to scope of work and if necessary update P3 plan and man hours from CTRG accordingly.
  • Recognize and modify plans arising from the impact of variations.
  • Advise and assist all users and sponsors of the plans, including process owners.
  • Construct EPC baseline, progress measurement, manpower/equipment projection and quantity estimation to other bid projects of AMEC such as engineering and implementation for Flowline Projects.
  • Assist with maintaining performance measures for productivity, rework and achievement against plans.
  • Supporting PMT and Cost Stewards with ongoing project schedule analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and Change Management.
  • Develop and document Schedules (annual and multi-year), and ensuring that these products reflect the approved project design/execution scope.
  • Assist with improvements in Planning standards, procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned by management.

Daily Offshore Activities:

  • Update POB spreadsheet with actual and forecast numbers.
  • Daily Construction Report input into JMS.
  • Monitor and inform to management about all changes offshore schedule.
  • Review & modify Offshore Survey activities according mobilization request form.
  • Monitors, review accuracy of job cards created by construction department and approve them.
  • Support Offshore Production and Field Team Leaders to evaluate job feedback to improve future work.
  • Update plan with information from vendors & suppliers (SDL, ABB, Tyco, Windrock, Rapid Solutions)
  • Review the actual progress against base line schedule and report Management / Construction Team to the forecast of the project.
  • Close out all reports to implemented jobs.

Weekly & Monthly Deliverables:

  • Weekly basis issue: short term and long term man-hour and manpower listings, Resource availability report, Offshore &
  • Onshore Resource Histograms & S-Curves, Implementation start movement diagram, Weekly productivity report.
  • Assist with information transfer between relevant business software and the planning software.
  • Manage time resources and report to Cost team, forecast of offshore labor and onshore engineering resources
  • Issue to OMT (Offshore Modification Team) Implementation level 3 & 4 Master Production (MPS) schedules.

Meetings:

  • Attending Planning weekly progress meetings.
  • Attending Client Interface Meetings in BP office and advising/controlling to Planning/Project control matters.
  • Presence in Construction & Organization meetings.
  • Attending Subcontractor weekly progress review meeting.
  • Closely liaise with the Client FIM and Company Issued Procurement Items.
