International Events & Community Manager

UpCloud offers cloud servers from its multiple datacenters around the world. Users run business critical applications and love us for our high performance, reliable services, and competitive prices. UpCloud was recently ranked as the third fastest growing technology company (based on a revenue growth rate of 1179%) in Finland by Deloitte in their Fast 50 program.

Under my oversight, as the second person to be hired to the marketing team and employee #12, the leads from tradeshows have tripled. At the heart of my responsibilities were community creation and management, through events and content. I built and executed event strategy for UpCloud and ramped up infrastructure for events and non-paid advertising. I was responsible for community management and events across the globe, and managed events ranging from Netherlands to Singapore. Especially in Finland I focused on building community through events and meetups. I was responsible for event strategy, budgets, execution and reporting and worked in an independent manner. I ramped up the volume of both content and engagement by tenfold during my time. I coordinated newsletter and blog content creation with technical writer. I was also responsible for churn management and retention of users in social media, and escalations to technical support
