The Manpower Resource Manager was created as a new position within the company
The remit of the Scottish M.R.M. is all on-train staff based in Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh; in total 300 staff
The responsibilities of this role include: -
Creating cost effective rosters to cover all turns of duty while minimising overtime
Creating computerised reporting systems for all manning issues
Analysing the resultant figures and making recommendations concerning future crew deployment to the Business Analyst
Involvement in recruitment & training processes
Involvement in selection process
Advising other managers on disciplinary issues
Chairing disciplinary meetings
Leading disciplinary investigations
Advising other managers on rostering principles and employee rights
