Project Details

Riyadh metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The metro is a part of the Riyadh Public Transport Project (RPTP). The RPTP will be the largest public transport project, which comprises construction of a metro, a bus system and other transport services in Riyadh. Construction of the Riyadh metro started in April 2014 and is expected to be completed by 2018.

FAST, which is led by FCC Construction, received a $7.9bn contract to construct and design lines 4, 5 and 6 of the metro.

The consortium includes FCC Construction, Samsung, Alstom, Strukton, Freyssinet Saudi Arabia, Typsa and Setec.

The total scope of contract includes construction of 64.6km of rail track, 29.8km of viaducts, 26.6km of underground track and 8.2km of over ground track.

 

Role Included

o   Planning Engineer and Delay Analyst responsible for the assessment of the effect of the Clients change notices for the design on the schedule and the progress of the works.

o   Manages work plan process, and acts as a co-ordination link between different department heads, sub-contractors and customers.

o   Maintain Baseline schedule for a successful completion of the project.

o   Tilos - Time & Location Planning and Designing Chainage reports for linear projects

o   Co-ordination with the design team for the implementation of the design and engineering into the baseline programme.

o   Attending design and site meetings for evaluation for the progress of the engineering and onsite progress of the works.
