Senior Planning Manager / Complex Build Integrator, MACE GROUP LIMITED, T1 Baggage Replacement Heathrow Airport
This was an upgrade to the existing Baggage Systems where Mace where the Principle Contractor for the works. It involved creating an integrated schedule that allowed multiple contracts to be sequenced and coordinated in a live operating environment and confined working spaces. Associated works required civil loading calculations to be undertaken to support the new increased and extensive structure loadings. Numerous footings required breakout and recasting to meet new design specifications. Associated temporary load bearing points needed to be designed to accommodate these additional civil works. Buried service scans where undertaken due to deeper and enlarged footprints. The entire Upgrade comprised of Structural re-enforcement, Baggage Design & Installation, M&E installations, Civil’s ground foundation improvements and commissioning prior to the Olympics 2012 Embargo.
