· Mixed Use and Residential construction: Using FIDIC contracts, duties included chairing site meetings; coordinating architectural, structural, MEP consultants; tender/FCI documentation; value engineering; sample approvals; RFI’s; workshop drawings; and statutory authority approvals.
· Amwaj Waves Phase 1, comprising two 13- storey and two 7-storey towers, 300 apartment complex over podium with commercial retail units and parking facilities. Managed multi-disciplinary team in $54 million greenfield project from design through construction including value engineering significant pre-construction savings.
· Zawia 3, a 22-level, 235 apartment complex with podium facilities.
early career
· New product, Australia: Initiation and planning into bringing a water savings product to new markets in Southern Africa (feasibility).
· New product, Australia, China: Initiation, planning, and execution on behalf of an investor group into bringing a unique energy savings product to market in Southern Africa (unsuccessful).
· Construction (large scale): Responsible for the project management and contract administration of the 8,500 sqm New Butterworth Campus in South Africa. Responsibilities included client liaison, consultant coordination, and chairing of cost control, site, and technical meetings.
· Construction (small scale): Experience as an owner builder for a ’Labour Only’ contract for a new 500 sqm house on a sloping site, as well as working as a project manager for a Master Builder in New Zealand with responsibilities including quotations, site visits, and liaising with stakeholders including clients, suppliers, employees, contractors and subcontractors.
